2015 Marlow Legend 31

Ipswich, Suffolk, United Kingdom

£90,000

Venus is a beautiful example of the Marlow Legend 31. She is small enough to be easy to single hand, with life made easier by a folding wheel to enable easy movement around the cockpit, folding foot rests to maintain your footing when heeled over and warp tidies to keep everything in order with all lines lead to the cockpit.

Her twin keels ensure a shallow draft of only 1.35m enabling access to restricted areas, yet providing stability out on the open seas.

Down below the accommodation offers two great size cabins and the saloon (which converts to another double), providing plenty of space, the table is offset allowing for free movement inside.

The galley is nicely appointed, head room is excellent not only for a 31 footer but for boats in general making life easier even for taller sailors. This boat belies her size to offer great accommodation and sea keeping.

Recently out of the water for antifouling she has enjoyed a comprehensive maintenance programme by her one and only owner.

This was the Boat Show model and it shows, nicely finished she also includes:
Automatic Fire Extinguisher
Pro-Nautic Battery Charger
Radio CD with Bose speakers
Faux Teak Decking.

It is also worth noting that the Marlow Owners' Association's recommendation to attend to the window seals has been completed.

She was last out of the water in Summer 2024 for Antifouling.

Accommodations

Two good size cabins make this 31 footer a genuine and comfortable 6 berth. All round the head room is good even for taller sailors and a well thought out galley provides all the amenities that make for a comfortable time on board.

Engines

The 3 cylinder Ynamar engine provides 29hp, more than sufficient to push this boat against the chop and make good headway should time or the conditions warrant.

Sails and Rigging

Lightly used, the sails and rigging are as you would expect of a well cared for boat that is less than 10 years old

In mast furling makes dealing with the conditions that much easier with endless scope for adjustment to suit the conditions not to mention removing the need to flail the sails into a bag at the end of the day

Cockpit

The cockpit is well thought out with the focus on sailing with touches such as the folding foot rest, and the flexible wheel. Everything is to hand and all the tech is up to date.
